Design Consultation, Strategy & Visual Work

For select projects, Storyguide partners with veteran New York Art Director Andy Omel to bring editorial structure into visual form. Design support may include presentations, reports, guidelines, program documents, course materials, and print-ready files.

Background & Project Approach

My practice is built on a foundation spanning decades in New York's publishing, academic, advocacy, and cultural environments. From special events at Lincoln Center to editorial training at the Time & Life Building. This experience across disciplines provides a distinct advantage—a wider perspective to envision new possibilities and solutions for your organization. My approach is to create a clear, collaborative process; untangle complexity; spark innovation; and produce work that is elegant, meticulously crafted, and ready to launch, teach, publish, or share.

Practical Application

  • At the Writing Institute, Sarah Lawrence College, creating original writing courses focused on biography, memoir, and investigative research. At Time Inc., developing research and fact-checking guidelines for medical and health publications; establishing internal standards, training departments in the Custom Publishing Division.

  • Building on this, at Pace University, adapting my proprietary framework into an upper-level curriculum. Allowing me to teach a highly diverse, global student body—young military veterans and international students to athletes and working parents—how to evaluate and execute professional-level writing within their specific fields of interest.
