Before Storyguide, I worked in New York's most demanding editorial and publishing environments. The experience, standards, and expertise informs every Storyguide project.

20 Years Investigative Journalism And Magazine Publishing; MFA Nonfiction Writing; Classically Trained Musician; Professor; Member, Authors Guild New York.

I founded Storyguide in 2008 to help people preserve their life stories and family histories. Today, Storyguide supports authors, professionals, academics, and institutions to create, develop, and refine work of the highest caliber.

For more than a decade, I worked as a senior writer and research editor in the custom publishing division of Time Inc., creating print and online content for corporations and nonprofits, including narrative profiles, health writing, and research-driven editorial projects. I established guidelines and training for medical research and editorial departments.

I have taught writing courses and lectured at universities, writing centers, and organizations including Pace University, the Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence College, and Editorial Freelancers Association, NY.

My practice is also shaped by an early degree in History, an MFA in Nonfiction Writing, work in advocacy and the arts, and ten years of classical piano training with a final performance at Carnegie Hall Recital Studio at the age of seventeen.

I have also traveled extensively, experiencing firsthand the power of storytelling around the world. This foundation informs the way I listen, organize, edit, and shape material into clear, meaningful form.
